Research interests

Anticipatory developmental plasticity can have lasting effects on fitness. In case of social species, developing animals can use sociall y acquired information rather than investing in sampling the environment. Furthermore, the cues are as important as the reliability of the cues. Besides the information on individual can acquire through its development, it is thus predisposed to express a certain phenotype through parental and transgenerational effects. In order to choose its developmental trajectory, it receives various pre- and post-natal cues. Cichlid neolamprologus pulcher. In my thesis, I want to take an integrative approach to understanding the development of adaptive behavioral phenotype in a risky environment, from the sources of information to the integration of various stages in ontogeny, in the cooperative breeding cichlid Neolamprologus pulcher
